How to set your 2025 goals with the xTiles Goals Overview template
Planning for a whole year is no easy task. While January or February might seem easy, for example, October and November might be quite a mystery. That’s why it’s important to start by setting bigger goals, and then break them into smaller, manageable tasks. Also, if you use the smart goals approach, you have multiple chances to set only working goals, which will bring benefits. Set specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound goals to ensure you’re moving in the right direction.
During a whole year, you can’t avoid at least one or two serious challenges, especially if you plan rapid professional development. Setting challenging tasks for many isn’t easy because we tend to go easy on ourselves. No one wants to feel overwhelming pressure because of a to-do list. If this is your situation, you may start by identifying your priorities for the next year.
What do you want to know or achieve by the end of next December? Want to start a side hustle to earn more money? Want to learn new skills? Want to boost your performance at work? This data will help you understand how busy your next year is going to be. However, you need to remember that sometimes 365 days are not enough to achieve everything you plan. Maybe some goals, especially if you can’t formulate them clearly should wait till a better time.
Depending on your priorities, start to set specific goals. Determine their sequence as for starting some you may need to finish something else before. However, if during the year something changes, you can easily move your task from one month to another using the drag-and-drop feature. Don’t forget to add your personal goals, too if you use this template for self-growth.
Every month is a separate tile (a basic element for storing information that can be changed in size, color, and design) with a to-do list for your goals. A yearly overview template works most effectively when backed by a monthly or weekly planner, where you can work on your tasks directly. This way, you have a big picture, while you can focus on its part to avoid feeling anxious about other goals or thinking about something that isn’t relevant to you yet.
Moreover, you can choose any planner template from the xTiles Gallery and combine them in one project, if you don’t like the idea of constant switching between planners. Just add it to your workspace and on the tab menu find the option “Copy to” and choose where you want to see it. Then, you can create tasks and get reminders on your calendar.
Finally, you can keep an eye on your progress using the xTiles mobile app on your smartphone, which is a natural continuation of our desktop version, allowing you to have access to your plans and notes on the go.
